Jenna Senecal completed her master's thesis looking at the performance of using human urine as a fertilizer with spinach. Motivated by the inefficient systems of managing human waste, she's now working at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences developing systems to safely recycle the nutrients from human waste back into agricultural systems - an essential part of a sustainable society, both in developed and developing countries.
